A Stube with a view
Once upon a time, the Stube was the only room of the farmstead that was heated. This room contained a stove, a dining table, a bench for afternoon rests, a plank over the stove to dry rags, a crucifix and a symbol representing the Holy Spirit. This is the room where South Tyrolean families would live their everyday lives. Today, the Stube has undergone radical changes: it has acquired modern features following an interior design process and, sometimes, it actually has large windows where you can glimpse outdoors and dream of snow and the winter to come.
