Achieving the sublime

‘We have to become children if we want to achieve the sublime.’ Rilke wrote these words in a text on the art of landscape, and we fully subscribe to them. In front of the geometric beauty of a bell tower reaching into the sky, we become children once again and rediscover a perception to things, a sensitivity of things which allows us to perceive the vibrations of the sublime in any object we see.
