Dreams which a child would recognise right away

There are certain dreams that children would recognise right away. They are those dreams in which objects are renamed and invested with imaginary lives. A stone becomes a car, two pieces of wood leaning against each other make home, the lid of a bottle is already a ball. It's a world where you play the game of being someone else. And so these jugs are small spaceships ready to fly into the sky, the expanse of glasses a crystal ball to guess the future and the Sassongher over there is the hut of the Indians. Oh Manitu, how beautiful to build a world of daydreams, just like artists who transform an object into something that can enrich the imagination of the beholder, and keep them company for ever and ever.
