We should all be feminists

"I would like that everyone should begin to dream about and plan a different world. A more just world, a world of men and women happier with their lives and with each other. And where to begin? We need to change that which we teach our daughters, we need to change that which we teach to our sons".

This is the thread of a short vignette by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, an excellent Nigerian, New York based writer, and which is entitled ‘We should all be feminists’. Published in Italy by Einaudi, the work has also received acclaim around the world. You can also hear the voice of the writer in a recording of Ted Event. You can easily find it on youtube.

P.s. To celebrate Women’s Day, and to run from 8 to 31 March, the Costa Family Foundation is organising an exhibition in the Bistrot entitled Ëres, a word which in Ladin means ‘Women’. The exhibition comprises 12 photos of women taken by Gustav Willeit during his trips for the Costa Family Foundation.
On 8 March itself the Bistrot kithen will be manned by women only, and what women they indeed are. The chefs are Fabrizia Meroi from the 1* Michelin Laite restaurant in Sappada; Anna Matscher from the 1* Michelin Zum Löwen in Tesimo; Caterina Ceraudo from the 1* Michelin Dattilo restaurant in Strongoli, and Veronica Cella, our own young chef. The menu will be four course and will cost 65,00€ (drinks excluded).
