Slower, deeper, sweeter
Horizontal and vertical planes, listening and seeking shelter, traditions and experience. Today, we are called to have an original vision of mountains, mountains as source of life and knowledge rather than an object to exploit and an unlimited playground. Brotherhood and grace, truth and freedom, non-violence and laboriousness, courage and humility: the Alps’ candour and mountains in their quintessence have to be a dimension we seek to ascend to. Only then can we descend into the valleys transformed, richer and open to the idea of living with one another. Today, we need to build a respectful Alpine landscape which teaches us not only to contemplate mountains but to listen to them and live with them in balance and simplicity.
