Friday, the ‘lean’ day in the week
Once, it was religious teaching not to eat meat of a Friday, it imposing to not eat meat in the "lean days", that is to say Friday. The fifth day of the week became the ‘lean’ day when it was considered a privilege to eat lightly. We ourselves do not eat meat of a Friday and if you would wish to follow suit it would be welcome. Meat still finds a place on the menu of Friday but is certainly less prominent than on other days. We wish all a good Friday and one which is as light as a white cloud in the sky.
P.S. Did you know that 15 thousand litres of water are needed to produce one kilo of meat?
