Gasthof BRIOL

‘Dear husband ... no diamonds are necessary - just gift me a piece of land!’
It was in similar fashion that Johanna inherited her piece of land. Great grandmother Johanna had gifted a house and piece of land to each of her fifteen children; she imposed however on the generations to come three rules: no erecting of fences, no selling to third parties but only to family members, and an instruction to keep all in order in respect of Nature. At Gasthof Briol in Dreikirchen-Tre Chiese, Val d’Isarco, you really go back in time. The breakfast is a fine example of the style which awaits you. The smell of fresh bread being prepared in the old traditional oven, homemade jam, real local farm produced cheese and speck, sweet figs, small bowls of fruit and Tyrolean muesli, delight you. The view across the valley is breathtaking and the sense of space, silence, and the calm of Nature are supreme. What more could one ask for?

And the afternoon is full of special moments too, for fresh sweets are served and a cake selection of poppy seed, ricotta, and buckwheat cake, all prepared thanks to the keeping of age-old recipes, adds to the pleasure .... all just as great grandmother Johanna would have wanted.

We are for ever grateful to you Johanna!
