The fascination of this place
is not about what there is
but about what is missing.

This is not a cliché.

A big-hearted person

Luca is dynamic and always on the move. It is thanks to him that on Sunday 29th May from 5 to 9 pm that we will be able to present our Costa Family Foundation project at the Benetton factory in Castrette, and all this with the direct help of the Benetton family itself. The project involves the energy creation reconstruction of three schools in Karamoja, Uganda.
"On Sunday 29th May, in collaboration with the Benetton family, we shall present the initiative of the Costa Family Foundation in favour of the school in Karamoja in Uganda. The event will take place at the Benetton factory in Castrette. Inspiration for the event came from Luca Cuzziol, master of wines and of life itself."
When one meets big-hearted persons ready to assist and give help, and blessed with a great enthusiasm to do and not hold back in any way, then one can count oneself lucky. Such is the case when mentioning Luca Cuzziol, a friend going back in time, he having stayed at La Perla many times and showing a great interest in the Costa Family Foundation. Whenever he can he helps out, suggests ideas, networks, contributes to the organisation of events, and which thanks to his simple and practical approach are readily implimented. Luca has always been involved with wine. He imports and distributes it all over Italy and together with his wife Elena set up a company which produces Prosecco. Being from Conegliano it was a natural choice. In fact Cuzziol Grandivini has for many years been a valuable point of reference for the Italian industry. The particular and distinguishing feature is that prior to choosing a wine it looks for the very best producer of that wine. In this way the company has managed to have a really ecellent selection of top quality wines well positioned both at a regional and national level. As a result it is easy for one and all to trust that by entgrusting this company they themselves will have in their own celalrs a choice of world wines, Italian ones naturally included, of a remarkable quality.

Carlo Cracco will lead the culinary offer for this special occasion by preparing a dish all of his own and this will be followed by an array of renowned chefs including Lionello Cera, Giorgio Damini, Antonio Magliulo and Nicola Laera, they participating in a splendid presentation of regional dishes. The whole initiative has a charitable objective and all sums paid and collected will go to the energy creation reconstruction project of the 3 schools located in the areas of Moroto and Napak, in the northeast region of Karamoja in Uganada, it bordering with Kenya to the east and southern Sudan to the north. When we asked Luca what we could do to organise a meeting so as to present the project to our donors and to collect funds vital for the maintenance of ongoing projects he was his usual calm and creative self. The result is that which we have presented to you for Sunday 29th May. It will be an important afternoon, an afternoon of celebration, an afternoon to favour one of the poorest and least developed areas on this earth. Thanks go to Luca, to the Benetton family and to all who will help us in taking forward our projects, for only with individual actions can our hopes become reality.
