A day bathed in light
What night would it be
if women were not secretly preparing aromas,
if plants were not harbouring some light,
if the earth were not pregnant with buried light,
waiting for dawn?
Davide Maria Montagna
This masterful poet refers to the night before Easter Sunday. A night which is far from dark, it cannot be completely black, because everything is aching for light, awaiting dawn. And here it is, a light that speaks of resurrection, blessed Easter announcing, whether we believe it or not, how much we need to resurrect in the face of the tragedies that surround us. Let today be a day of light and hope, because Easter shows us how our life does not finish at a tombstone, our life goes beyond. And if we want to live in light rather than in shadows, we have a lot of work to do.
